The Tempest
Here is a D minor tune. It's a tune I like very much but I felt that it wasn't necessary to do a second version because most of the variations that I play in it have already been covered. I am playing an open (modal) version of the A minor chord in bar two; that is, I'm just playing A, E, A; I have put it in as a minor chord because that would be the alternative to the modal chord.
There are two new chords in the second part - the G minor 7th and the D minor 7th. The slide up from the D modal to the D minor 7th makes a strong progression.
There are two notable differences in the full version; the first is that I use a D drone for the first three bars of the first part, the second is the substituting of the D chord with the Bb major chord at the start of the second four-bar phrase in the B part.
